The global launch of the Pixel 9 series is set for tonight, with the India launch following tomorrow. Google is expected to unveil four smartphones in its flagship Pixel series, but it’s still uncertain which models will be available in the Indian market. The lineup includes the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel Fold. However, even before the official launch of the Pixel 9 series, the prices for these devices in India have surfaced online. Here are the details.

Abhishek Yadav, a well-known tipster, has shared the India prices for the Pixel 9 series on X (previously known as Twitter). He claims to have obtained this information from a trusted source. According to Yadav, the starting price for the Pixel 9 will be Rs 79,999, while the Pixel 9 Pro is expected to be priced at Rs 1,09,999.

Additionally, the tipster revealed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will carry a price tag of Rs 1,24,999 in India, and the Pixel Fold will be available for Rs 1,72,999. This will be the first time Google is introducing an XL model in its flagship series, likely aimed at consumers seeking the top-tier Pixel experience and the most premium features. Although Google has already launched its foldable phones in the global market, this will be the first time a foldable device will be available in India.

If these leaked prices for the Pixel 9 series are accurate, it suggests that Google is positioning its Pixel phones at a higher price point, aligning more closely with Apple’s iPhone 15 series. To provide some context, the Pixel 8 was launched in India at a price of Rs 75,999, indicating that Google is potentially planning a Rs 4,000 price increase for the new Pixel 9, as suggested by the latest leak. The Pixel 8 Pro was priced at Rs 1,06,999 in India, so the Pixel 9 Pro might see a Rs 3,000 increase, according to the leak.

For those interested in last year’s iPhone prices, the iPhone 15 started at Rs 79,600. The iPhone 15 Pro began at Rs 1,34,900, and the Pro Max was priced at Rs 1,59,900. The Plus model was introduced at Rs 89,900.

Based on the leaked prices, there appears to be little difference between the standard Pixel 9 and the iPhone 15 in terms of price. However, there’s a significant price gap when comparing the Pixel 9 Pro to the iPhone 15 Pro, with the Pixel 9 Pro being Rs 24,901 cheaper.
