Mahindra Thar Roxx's Latest Update
**Mahindra is set to unveil the Thar Roxx on August 15. Alongside the new white color option, the SUV has also been previewed in black.**
**The Thar Roxx’s exterior features include a redesigned 6-slat grille, LED headlights, and distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The vehicle will be equipped with dual digital displays, a Harman Kardon audio system, and a panoramic sunroof.**
**It is anticipated that the Thar Roxx will offer the same engine choices as the 3-door Thar: a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Pricing is projected to start at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).**
**As the launch date approaches, Mahindra has been teasing the Thar Roxx on social media. The latest teaser reveals the 5-door Thar in both white and black. The white model showcases an assertive design with a new 6-slat grille and C-shaped LED DRLs. Its front bumper, which features a dual-tone black and grey finish, integrates fog lamps and turn indicators similar to those on the Thar 3-door.**
**The black Thar Roxx has also been shown, highlighting its rugged and robust design. It features squared-off wheel arches, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and side steps for ease of entry. The door handles are black, and the rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar. A “4x4” badge is located below the quarter glass and above the rear wheel. The rear design includes a tail-mounted spare wheel and LED taillights.**
**In terms of features, the Thar Roxx is expected to include a large infotainment screen and a digital driver’s display, both possibly around 10.25 inches. Other amenities will likely include automatic air conditioning, a Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features are anticipated to comprise 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold and descent control, and a 360-degree camera. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking may also be available.**
**The Thar Roxx is likely to offer the same engine options as the 3-door Thar, with potential enhancements: a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. It will be available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, as well as rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations.**
**With an expected starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Thar Roxx will compete directly with the 5-door Force Gurkha and serve as a more premium option compared to the Maruti Jimny.**
